THE POSITION: Cheryl Wood Empowers is looking for energetic, talented individuals to spearhead PR efforts for an upcoming FREE community empowerment event for girls and women, "Create Your Own Sizzle" Empowerment Event, that we are hosting on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD. The position will start no later than June 1, 2013 and extend through the date of the event on August 17, 2013. We are seeking interns who have PR education and/or experience and will bring creative, innovative ideas to this exciting project. We are not in a position to provide training -- we need you to bring your expertise to the table. Looking for someone who is extremely energetic, outgoing, and customer-service oriented!!
Responsibilities- Generate emails and respond to emails in timely fashion
- Accept phone calls for speaking engagements
- Make phone calls for speaking engagements
- Mail promotional materials
- Provide back-of-the-room support at live events
- Interface with CEOs and small business owners at live events
Requirements- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential.
- Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
