KokoChé strives to empower local communities.

We are a mobile subscription service for local merchants to offer real-time deals to the community under $5. Backed by the LA Mayor´s Office, KokoChé keeps money local by boosting neighborhood sales and building a hometown base for merchants.

As a KokoChé intern, you will hone your skills creative writing and blogging. Additionally, you will build a solid understanding of what it takes to build a startup company from scratch. You will collaborate closely with the founders of KokoChé on a daily basis.

We need your help to do one or more of the following tasks:

Create and write weakly blog post showcasing many merchants on the KokoChé platform. These post will be written on small local businesses such as restaurants, salons, and community events that we feel need to be seen. The goal of our blog, through the use of beautiful photography and excellent posts, is to show Los Angeles users the best KokoChé has to offer!

Campaigning for KokoChé will primarily take place in East LA. The position will requires minimum of 10 hours per week, working both in the field and occasionally with the founders.

Finally, we are working with universities locally to help you earn academic credit for working with us.

The goal of our blog, through the use of beautiful photography and excellent posts, is to show Los Angeles users the best KokoChé has to offer!

The position will requires minimum of 10 hours per week, working both in the field and occasionally with the founders.

Requirements

- live locally in the Los Angeles area as of September 2013

- have exceptional writing and blogging skills (preferably with a portfolio)

-Have a great understanding of local communities and the needs of small businesses

-tech savy with access to a smart phone
