Hamilton GS has one purpose: to be the go-to group when you have a fight to win. We know what it takes to win in high-stakes situations because we’ve been there before. From town halls across the Commonwealth to the State Capital, no group can match Hamilton’s insight and experience.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Hamilton Development Team, the Lobbying & Business Development Fellow is expected to actively engage with and collaborate on campaigns and projects for our clients. To this end, Fellows should expect to do the following: (1) coordinate meetings with key public and private stakeholders, including scheduling, research and appropriate follow-up; (2) research and prepare memos on assigned topics; (3) assist with campaign strategy development and implementation for assigned campaigns; (4) other tasks as assigned.

Lobbying & Business Development Fellows will be assigned to project teams for various clients and initiatives. During the program, all Fellows will be provided with a hands-on, real-world learning experience.

Requirements

Lobbying & Business Development Fellows are expected to be active members of the Hamilton Development Partners Team, which requires a flexible schedule, a willingness to learn, a self-starter attitude and an exceptional work ethic.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to balance keen understanding and vision of the client's goals and the firm's strategies with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to pursuing them. Essential qualifications include: superior oral and written communications skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent telephone manner and basic computer skills (Office, Internet, Basic Research Skills).

This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive, motivated student to build an excellent network of influential contacts while acquiring and developing the skills necessary to succeed in either the public or private sector.
