Shanghai is a dynamic city where one can witness the unique blend of East and West, of heritage and culture.

George Mason University's (GMU) Center for Global Education offers undergraduate students of all majors the unique opportunity to work for a professional company or organization in Shanghai, China. Students are placed in unpaid professional internships for academic credit based on their course work, skills and professional interests. All participants earn 6 credits and are guaranteed an internship placement.

Students submit a resume and cover letter and are placed with professional companies based on their interests and career goals. Participants can intern in a variety of fields, including but not limited to finance, non-profit, marketing, public relations, and technology and the arts.

This program is open to all undergraduate and graduate students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and 45 undergraduate credits completed by the start date of the program. Students from all universities are eligible to participate.
