DescriptionSanta Monica based entertainment company (Film/Animation/TV/Theme Parks) seeks Development Intern (Real Estate - Theme Parks) to start immediately. Founder/owner of the company has produced box-office smash hits such as Mortal Kombat, Terminator 2 and True Lies. Threshold is also very active in the "location-based entertainment" industry and have developed media-based attractions (simulator rides, media-based dark rides, dome shows, etc.) for the world's top theme parks including Disney and Universal.
We need extremely bright and motivated students who are studying real estate development and available at minimum 2 days a week, between the hours of 10 AM and 7 PM onsite at our Santa Monica, CA studio. Students will work directly with key staff of the studio, including receiving direct guidance and instruction from producers who are working with large real estate development firms on theme park projects worldwide.
ResponsibilitiesIntern will assist in the business development of projects, working closely with the pre-development team and executive producer team. Intern will be learning how new theme park projects are conceived, packaged, pitched and funded. Intern will also be assigned one major research project that will be due at the end of the Fall internship period. Duties may also include but are not limited to research, errands and answering phones.
RequirementsSerious applicants only.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (ex. Word, Excel).
Must have a desire to learn how new projects in location-based entertainment and theme parks are developed.
Fluency in a second language is strongly preferred.
