DescriptionThe Internship: This internship is made up of two components; an inside sales component and outside sales. The combined hours will be around 12 per week not including what you put into it on your own time. It is designed for you to further develop your business, sales, and entrepreneurial skill sets.
ResponsibilitiesInside Sales (Commercial Telemarketing Appointment Setting)
A: Will be calling a list of businesses provided to you and asking to speak with the person in charge of the utility bills.
B: Inform them that American Communications has a phone and television bundle that could save them up to 50% or more on their monthly business fees and increase their features/entertainment
C: Would (insert day/time here) be a good time for your consultation or would you rather do (insert day/time here) later in the week.
D: Obtain a contact name and email address
Outside Sales (D2D Sales + Appointment Setting)
A: Ask the person who they currently have as their TV provider? If it is not DirecTV, ask if they are happy with their current provider?
B: Set up a time for the Manager to present a cost saving solution that also upgrades their home entertainment situation and provides updated equipment.
C: OR can try to pitch the DirecTV sale on your own
Weekly Schedule (subject to change)
Monday (Outside Sales): 3 pm – 6 pm (be at the office by 2:30 pm)
Tuesday (Inside Sales): 10 am – 1 pm (be at the office by 9:50 am)
Wednesday (Outside Sales): 3 pm – 6 pm (be at the office by 2:30 pm)
Thursday (Inside Sales): 10 am – 1 pm (be at the office by 9:50 am)
Friday: Independent Day
RequirementsCommercial Telemarketing Pay (2 days a week)
Appointment Set: $10 per valid appointment set
Appointment validity is determined by our commercial sales manager C.Nixon
Commercial Sale: $100 per sale closed down by You over phone
Sale must be closed and written up via phone without an appointment
Outside Sales D2D/Events (2 days a week)
Appointment Set that gets INSTALLED: $50
You will have the opportunity to set appointments for James to sell the service
Residential Sale Closed Down on your own: $100
A Residential sale closed down with no help from James
On your Own (1 day a week)
You are able to sell and market in any way you would like on this day. There are no required obligations on this day. This is where we see a lot of the creativity and entrepreneurial elements from our interns.
