DescriptionAre you interested in learning (or perfecting your skills in) process and project management? Those are skills in strong demand today, in business, government, nonprofits and other areas.
We are looking for a Business Analyst Apprentice to study our processes and execute project work.
You will “ride shotgun” and observe how we work, taking notes and discovering processes that can be captured, analyzed, and optimized. You’ll work with our Process Director and our CEO closely.
Besides the great experience you will get, you will love us. We’re a wholly unique news organization. We're nonprofit. We don't take ads. We don't promote a partisan angle or push predictable views. We do dig deep, think hard, read a lot of history, ask a lot of questions, steer clear of establishment or consensus journalism, and write up what we find with verve. It’s interesting, cool, meaningful work — and as a Business Analyst Apprentice for us, you’ll be playing a crucial role in our growth and development. Plus, we are a friendly bunch, cultivating a warm and supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
If you'd like to develop into a world-class Business Analyst, our Apprentice Program may be for you. You work hours that you determine, from your own location, but you receive heavy tutelage and direction from superb managers. You'll come out of this lean and mean and ready for anything that comes your way.
Please send us your resume and a cover letter showing that you've studied our site carefully and explaining why you think you would be a good fit.
NYC area preferred, but open to superb candidates in any geographic location.
Small stipend possible after initial training period, based in part on results.
