Role: Research and Recruiting Internship
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Hours: 40 hours/week within our M-F (7am-5pm) work week
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: $10/hour plus bonus structure
(**Please note - all of our part-time internship opportunities have been filled. This role requires a minimum commitment of 35 hours per week (up to 40) and would work well for students who are finishing up 1-2 classes before graduation. We are considering only local candidates within the Phoenix metro area.)
Come join the team at CareNational Healthcare Services through our paid Internship Program for the Recruiting and Research position! This is an entry-level position and serves as a gateway to a career path in Recruiting, Account Management, New Business Development, Consulting, and Sales and Marketing, within the Healthcare market. You will work specifically with nurses and other medical professionals who have experience in the Medical Management segment of healthcare and assist them in transitioning in to new career alternatives.
As a current college student, you’ll develop valuable skills in research and lead generation, while also learning the fundamentals of the CareNational business model, the managed-care industry, and targeted recruiting. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to establish lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with clients, colleagues and the CareNational leadership team that will prepare you for a successful career after graduation.
This internship is a great fit for students in their junior or senior year who are pursuing business degrees as you will gain exposure to several different business competencies and have the opportunity to “job shadow” each position within the company.

Our office dress code is casual and we offer a flexible day time schedule for intern hours within our Monday-Friday 7am-5pm work week. The Research and Recruiting Intern will serve in a supporting role to recruitment staff, account managers, and our business development team. This position’s primary objective will be to find (source) potential candidate leads to fill all open job orders. 75% of the daily job duties are spent on phone-in research and 25% is spent on other research (internet, job boards, etc.) to identify qualified candidates, so being comfortable talking on the phones is a required skill. The Recruiting Research Intern will receive industry specific training and mentoring under the direction of the Research Manager.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Direct telephone contact (cold-calling) into health care facilities and health plans in order to locate active and passive job seekers
Resume searches and pre-screening
Qualifying candidate profiles against all open job orders
Market research and investigation of our client’s competitors to gather new data and identify decision makers for business development leads
Performing data entry to log sourced candidates/clients into our internal database
Building organizational charts and lists of new prospects along with several other lead-generating methods
Daily exposure using multiple computer programs and internet-based tools to research talented medical professionals at the staff level and management level (Google, LinkedIn.com, Monster.com, other social media sites)
Opportunity to contribute to our weekly blog publications and other social media sites
Participate in event planning for all company events
RequirementsSkills/Qualities We Look For:
Outgoing, confident, and approachable attitude with the ability to connect with people
Call Center and/or Phone Sales experience a plus
Professionalism on the phones
Ability to “work the phones” and stay aggressive to generate new leads
Creativeness in locating new lead sources
Strong interpersonal communication (both verbal and written)
Excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, follow-up, and track numerous details
Proficiency with core computer programs (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and Internet Search Engines (Google, LinkedIn, Monster.com, Indeed.com)
Must be a college or university student currently enrolled at the senior level and graduating with a Bachelor’s degree
Must have reliable transportation to/from work and live in a commutable distance to our Scottsdale, AZ office location
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship
Able to commit to a minimum of 30 hours/week
Able to commit to a minimum of a 6 month internship
