Description

Social Impact Capital specializes in impact investing, which we define as investments that can deliver top decile returns in addition to a positive social impact. We focus on the "essentials of human need" — energy, water, food, health, environment, education, housing, access to capital, and social justice.

Social Impact Capital works with a variety of investors including family offices, high net worth individuals, endowments (university and foundation), and funds (pension and sovereign wealth) helping them make direct investments in high growth companies. We source deals, and can lead due diligence, monitor the investments, and report on financial returns and/or social impact.

As a Business Development Intern, you will be required to work 5 hours a week on a 12 week long business development project. Interns will be primarily responsible for completing a business development plan, and drafting strategic communication with prospective clients.

We are a start-up, and as such, you will gain insight and experience working as part of a small team of highly motivated individuals who are invested in the growth and success of our company. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our company culture in a fundamental way, and create lasting impact through your project. By the end of the program, you will have successfully implemented a business development plan, and have received training in the relevant skills and the platforms used by our company.

Requirements

Successful applicants must be presently enrolled in an MBA or JD program from a top university.
