DescriptionThis will be an unpaid internship lasting 90 days. The interns who work the best with our organization will be offered a paid position that will begin in January 2016.
Guaranteed Retirement Salary is an innovative financial services firm in Southern California. The role will be virtual and can be completed from anywhere. You will be honing your business communication skills and entrepreneurial mindset by thinking up strategies to grow a portion of the business, then implementing the strategy you create to see the results.
You will also have the liberty of trying new ideas or other interests you feel might add value to the overall mission of our organization and our clients.
ResponsibilitiesYou'll be allowed to create your own hours, schedule/commitment. This can vary as well by dates. You'll be responsible for creating a strategy, acting upon it for implementation and tracking the results.
The two areas we're looking for interns are our Affiliate Program and our company's growth strategy.
The affiliate program will consist of identifying potential partners that have similar end users (senior citizens age 50-65) and creating an incentive program for them to drive potential clients to our website. Then implementing that strategy by contacting them live over the phone or through email. Lastly, you'll be tracking your results and adjusting where necessary.
The growth strategy will consist of making sure we have a large enough network of licensed annuity agents to cover our targeted sales areas. You will be responsible for coordinating with our marketing team to understand what areas our marketing strategy is covering and mapping it out. Then coordinating or recruiting agents through tools like Craigslist to make sure our marketed areas are covered by at least one agent. You'll also be responsible for identifying our next area to open up, recruiting to make sure we have the area covered and coordinating with the marketing department to provide this new area with potential clients our new agents can begin selling to.
RequirementsMust love to think up strategy, be creative, communicate your message with others clearly, research and implement your ideas.
It would be nice if you have at least a basic understanding of retirement products like annuities, or ways to reach, communicate, and engage with senior citizens.
