DescriptionUsedCardboardBoxes.com is a national, eco-friendly logistics company that is growing FAST. We buy and sell quality USED cardboard boxes all across the US. We "rescue" truckloads of quality used boxes from large companies that might otherwise recycle them or simply throw them away. We bring the boxes back to one of our regional distribution centers where they are inspected and sorted by size and shape. Once placed in inventory, the boxes are resold to other companies as a low-cost, eco-friendly shipping solution. We venture-funded, growing fast and work with some of the world’s largest companies.

ResponsibilitiesDuring this internship, your dedication and ATTENTION TO DETAIL are essential to your learning experience, and our continued success. You will help to manage national inventory and book tractor trailer freight loads for UCB, nationwide. We move multiple trailers a day (both full truckload and less-than-truckload) and you will work on both our proprietary technology and other online tools throughout the day. You will work with our suppliers (often Fortune 500 companies) and partners to get real-time information (like inventory counts) to ensure we have the most accurate info. You will get pricing, select the most cost-effective carriers, confirm pickups and deliveries, ensure proper invoicing and follow up with outstanding customer service. Basically, you will be exposed to / involved in all steps of a traditional logistics company. You will work with all of the legal and accounting documents used in logistics and you will see how they are integrated into our custom software system.
Utilizing your INCREDIBLE attention to detail, you will be part of the “heart/glue” of the company’s daily operations.
You will also be exposed to Accounting, Office Management, Procurement, Selling and other departments within our company.
Additionally, you will work very closely with all members of the company, especially the COO and CEO.
RequirementsThe ideal intern will possess the following abilities, attributes, experience and skills:

• Good communication skills; ability to run a conference call and update all parties
• Web research, emailing and keeping track of “moving targets”
• Bookkeeping or similar experience a plus
