DescriptionAugur Marketing, LLC is based in Washington, DC and was founded in 2009. Augur manages multi-channel marketing campaigns including website development, online advertising, social media outreach, and video production. The goals of the campaigns are to raise awareness, create a buzz and generate sales for clients.
Current clients include:
1. FIFA (international soccer)
2. CRCC (China Railway and Construction Corporation) which is one of the largest construction companies in the world with $96 billion in assets,
3. The 2,000 acre Ranson Green construction project which will provide veterans with low cost housing.
Your duties will include writing proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from national and international clients. This is a great business skill to learn and is applicable to most businesses. This position requires attention to detail and has tight deadlines, typically 4 day turn around times. We do use templates which makes the job much easier. You will have time off between proposals.
Many of our interns were immediately hired because of the on the jobs skills and training from this internship. Others went on to pursue their masters degrees.
You will report directly to Peter Bohn, Partner.
ResponsibilitiesReview RFPs (Requests for Proposal from clients) and select proposals to write based in Augur criteria.
Brainstorm and develop the business /marketing plan for the proposal
Write the proposal using templates and previous proposals as a guide.
Pricing based on Augur price list and the requirements of the RFP.
RequirementsYou will be held to a very high standard. Assignments are based on a real world pass / fail basis and must be delivered on time and excellently managed to prepare you for actual client work.
-You must be able to develop and edit PowerPoint (or any presentation software) quickly and efficiently.
-Great business writing skills.
-Ability to carefully review requirements and write solutions in the proposals based on the those requirements. Attention to detail is key.
Preferred, good with graphics and photo editing.
If you are working on a masters degree or have a second job or are otherwise busy then you absolutely should not apply. You will be responsible for writing at least one and possibly two proposals a week. You will have large blocks of time off but because this is project based work it is unstructured. You will not have a regular schedule.
The best candidate has the following skills:
-Excellent Written English
-Must be very good with PowerPoint and other presentation software
-Eye for detail
-Be able to create professionally attractive documents. Document layout and design.
-Ability to develop a business marketing plan
-You must understand contemporary marketing including social media, and how to develop a marketing plan for a client.
-Graphics design skills are not required but are desired.
-Self starter and ability to learn and reinforce skills on your own after initial training.
