MicroGiving.com is a crowd-funding social platform for good causes and charities. MicroGiving is a start-up undergoing tremendous growth in the rapidly growing crowd-funding space. DonorCommunity is the parent company of MicroGiving.
The Business Relations Intern will play a key role in the development of MicroGiving’s growth strategy, while working directly with the President and Founder. They will assist in driving Fundraisers to the platform and prospecting with Corporate Sponsors to help facilitate growth. In addition to planning and executing on sales and marketing strategies, this role will involve maintaining accounts, conducting research, networking, and launching various campaigns across the company. Contributing to the growth of an early-stage startup such as MicroGiving will offer tremendous experience and credibility going forth into the future. This is a fun, challenging, and highly entrepreneurial position with room for expansion.
Our offices are based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Philadelphia, PA and we will be opening one in New York City, NY. However interns can work virtually from any city depending on qualifications and further review during an interview.
-Maintain client outreach and acquisition strategies
-Maintain and assist in public relations strategies
-Develop relationships and build your network of professionals first hand
-Conduct and/or delegate research to obtain factual information and authentic detail for new business leads & strategic partnerships
-Craft and deliver high-quality, strategically engaging sales pitches via email and phone
-Establish and maintain close relationships with key external decision makers
-Facilitate senior management relationships with leads & partnerships
-Maintain oversight of company branding online and in-person
-Assist in planning and executing strategic marketing campaigns
-Track performance and report to upper management on a weekly basis
-Find a pursue new leads through strategic approaches
-A variety of other roles that will evolve as the company grows
-Major in Business, Marketing, or Communications is preferred
-Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
-Experience in business communication, sales, marketing, research, or social media
-Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team environment
-1-2 years of directly related business experience is preferred
-Detail oriented with a focus on execution along with the ability to work independently
