DescriptionAbout HOPE Internship Program
With over 200+ participants to date, the Operation HOPE, Inc. (HOPE) Fellows, Interns and Loaned Executive (FILE) Program offers exceptional young men and women the opportunity to acquire skills and build vital social networks that will enhance their career paths and effectiveness as future leaders
The HOPE Small Business intern will provide support the HOPE Small Business Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in entrepreneurial training, client engagement, loan packaging support, and financial education. Duration is approximately six months from start date. Intern will work 10-15 hours per work. This position is unpaid, but college credit is available, when applicable.
Responsibilities•Ability to clearly communicate the mission, objectives and programs of Operation HOPE
•Support the small business counselor in operational and administrative duties
•Provide assistance in Entrepreneurial Training Course and Small Business Workshops
•Manage client system in regards to scheduling technical assistance, classes and workshops
EXPERIENCE & CORE COMPETENCIES:
•Multitask Oriented and Organized – the right candidate has the ability to begin, manage and complete several projects and program relationships at one time and keep in communication with the Small Business Coordinator
•Experience and knowledge of entrepreneurial issues, and business planning. Basic computer literacy a must: minimum proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•Professional appearance –candidate must maintain a business professional appearance at all times
