Description

The co-founders of The Curators, Inc., a consulting/marketing/events company based in greater Boston, are launching a start-up company and are looking for help.

Unveil, the start-up company, is seeking to profoundly change the wedding industry by empowering engaged couples and creating a transparent, trusted marketplace. Unveil is an online, personalized concierge service that connects engaged couples with venues and vendors that fit their style, budget, and vision. The company helps couples painlessly plan their wedding without the financial commitment of hiring a wedding planner and without the stress or time associated with doing it own their own. Unveil is the first company in the wedding space to operate independently of having venues and vendors pay to be recommended. Instead, Unveil serves as the agent for the couple to ensure that they receive the benefits of an unbiased industry expert.

The intern would work directly with the co-founders to build the database of wedding venues and compile the information needed for Unveil to be successful. He or she would help influence the strategy on how to approach venues, how to best compile the data, and how to ensure that the data is helpful and relevant for customers.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Finding information about wedding venues online through various channels
Synthesizing information and summarizing data concisely
Understanding nuances in data
Determining how to best present data
Developing a system to capture new data or editing data
Working one on one with the co-founders to report findings and recommendations on how to best handle data
Learning about the wedding industry to best understand data and to get a holistic view of the industry
Categorizing data in a manner that makes it easy to use and understand

Requirements

Current college student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree; or a recent graduate. Prefer that the applicant is based in Massachusetts.

Specifically looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and independently with little direction. Applicants should be "go getters" who enjoy trying to solve problems on their own, are excited by challenges, are driven by deadlines, and pride themselves on high quality standards.
