Overview

Seeking enthusiastic, global-oriented, and self-motivated licensing interns worldwide, with a passion for Virtual Organizations, Business Development, and Social Media; who can bring creative ideas to the licensing and business development team and help implement them. Will have an opportunity to work with various internal stakeholders on market analysis, market development, competitive outlook and strategic fit of licensing opportunities, and intellectual property evaluation.

Will support the entire VOMI Global Think Tank and Advisory Board, a powerful advocacy arm within VOMI. Will be involved, under strict supervision, in planning and attending Board meetings; learning and using virtual organization parliamentary procedures based on VOMI's Rules of Order; recording and transcribing minutes of board meeting; and helping draft Board resolutions.

This is a 30-Day UNPAID Global-Virtual Internship, with a possibility of being extended for up to a maximum period of 90 days based on your initial performance during the first 30 days.

Our internship program is Year-Round and is open to all applicants worldwide who meet our strict requirements.

All selected interns who have successfully completed the maximum total of 90 days of internship will receive a $2500 stipend for tuition and education expenses subject to meeting all other stipend award requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Negotiator in drafting license agreements and follow up with negotiating partners regarding related comments and inquiries.

Also assist in evaluation of expansion opportunities and research of relevant market segments and competitive landscapes. Profile those important market segments and the potential partners within those segments and create strategic presentations and recommendation documents. Interact with potential partners and licensees and establish relationships as appropriate.

Requirements

Qualification Requirements:

* You must be an MBA / PhD / JD / LLM student (anywhere in the world) majoring in either Intellectual Property Law and Policy, Global Business and Development, or a related field.
* Must have a min 3.00 GPA in your major or equivalent; a 3.50+ GPA is preferred.
* A Social Media Native with a strong interest in virtual organizations is a must.
* Familiarity with finance, risk management, marketing, strategy, and intellectual property.
* Sound business judgment and ability to work successfully with and influence teams across the organization, including the Executive Leadership team.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills to generate metrics and support business decisions.

* Excellent written and oral communication, research, and writing skills.
* Highly disciplined, focused, and extraordinary ability to adapt and thrive in a virtual organization.
* Must be totally self-sufficient in a 100% virtual environment.
* Proficiency with Google Docs and all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
* Fluency in English required, additional language proficiency (French, Chinese, etc.) is a plus.
