DescriptionAugur Marketing was is based in Washington, DC and was founded in 2009. Augur manages multi-channel marketing campaigns including website development, online advertising, social media outreach, and video production. The goals of the campaigns are to raise awareness, create a buzz and generate sales for Augur Marketing, LLC as well as for our clients.
Current clients include:
1. FIFA (international soccer)
2. CRCC (China Railway and Construction Corporation) which is one of the largest construction companies in the world with $96 billion in assets,
3. The 2,000 acre Ranson Green construction project which will provide veterans with low cost housing.
The online marketing analyst is responsible for developing and implementing social media campaigns for Augur and clients and for keeping current Augur Marketing's online presence.
The analyst will also work on a team on active client marketing campaigns once he or she has developed enough skills.
Detailed training will be provided to the intern team including Marketing Basics, Fundamentals of Online Marketing, and Project Management.
This is an unpaid internship which will build your resume and give you on the job training, real world skills and the strong possibility to be promoted during the internship. Many of our previous interns from the were immediately hired into permanent positions and several continued into masters programs.
Your will mentor with one of the partner's of the company and the skills that you will learn include:
*General Overview of Social Media Marketing
*Online Paid Advertising
*Content Creation, Writing, HQ Blog Articles
1. Update and keep the Augur Marketing online presence current and create and publish new social media pages as required. This includes Facebook, periodic posting of blog articles, and Twitter at a minimum. If you become skilled enough and have the time then we can add more social media sites to the list but only as you feel that you can handle the work load.
2. Keep current on social media trends, outreach, and advertising.
3. Manage and develop client social media pages and write content as a team.
RequirementsThe candidate must have a strong competence and a natural affinity with online and social media tools and software (Facebook). Those with IT degrees will not be considered.
Your degree does not matter as long as your have good basic skills and a strong understanding of social media. However, those with IT and programming backgrounds are asked not to apply.
Attention to detail. You absolutely have to be able to carefully follow instructions.
All assignments must be completed 100% successfully. Initial training and explanation will be given but you are need to be a proactive learner and highly dedicated to meeting due dates. Assignments are pass / fail; this is a real world environment where not meeting deadlines is a breach of contract and can cause fines, lawsuits and and loss of customers. Underperforming and sloppy final copies have the same impact and we are looking for only those special operators who hold themselves to the highest standards and who will do whatever it takes to be on time and to perform excellently.
You must read, write, and speak English well and be able to produce compelling marketing and advertising copy (content). Preferred skills are graphics design and page layout and design. Your writing ability must be at a professional level and you will edit and proof your own work. Final drafts submitted to your manager will be complete, edited, proofed and extremely well formatted (must look professional and compelling).
The prime candidate must be a team player and interact well with all levels of clients and Augur staff and contacts. Even though you will be given initial training and instruction you must also be a self-starter be able professionally mature enough project manage your own time. You are required to meet all deadlines and to deliver excellent results.
Even though this is not full time work you will not have time for full time study or a time consuming job. This is project and tasked based work and is best suited for recent graduates, those between school sessions, stay at home mom's and anyone who is more mature and who has the time to meet and beat hard deadlines.
