DescriptionSilicon Valley Leadership Group: Communications Coordinator
The Leadership Group is looking for a college intern interested in public affairs communications. The position is unpaid. A minimum of 12 hours a week is expected during the school year; a minimum of 20 hours per week during the summer.
The Communications Coordinator will work directly with the Vice President, Strategic Communications and Communications Associate. Duties include delivery of a news (newspaper stories) recap to staff; support work on Leadership Group events (about 12 major ones per year), support to Communications Committee made up of member companies, public service announcements and press release drafts, social media, website updates and content for e-newsletters. Other duties may be added or replaced depending on individual areas of interest.
This is a volunteer internship position. College credit may be available through your school.
Interns must commit to a minimum of 12 hours a week during the school year; a minimum of 20 hours per week during the summer for approximately three months. Individual circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
