DescriptionThe Brockton Rox are seeking an individual to assist in operating the team's Daktronix outfield video board for all 28 home games this summer and to produce digital media for the team. The digital media production/sales intern will serve under the mentorship of the Rox Director of Corporate Sales, John Nesti, and also the Vice President of Baseball Operations, Andy Crossley.
This Individual will assist the Director of Corporate Sales to ensure that all sponsorship and advertising contracts are fulfilled. They will also assist the PR intern on editing photos for the Rox website. Additionally this intern will have the opportunity to help the Rox Sales staff and gain experience in the Rox Sales department.
The digital media producer/sales intern will report directly to the Director of Corporate Sales
-Becoming an expert with our video board software
-Assist or help the Director of Corporate Sales create slides with sponsor logos to be shown on the video board throughout the game
-Assist or help the Director of Corporate Sales create player cards for Rox players and each visiting team roster
-Helping the PR intern to pick and edit photos for teams website
-On non-game days, this intern will have the opportunity to assist in the Rox sales department. Sales tasks will include assisting on calling renewals and single game ticket buyers, creating surveys to gauge the fan experience, answering incoming phone calls, placing tickets orders, and delivering tickets to clients.
-Production of content for social media distribution
-Additional responsibilities and duties as needed
RequirementsTop Candidates will demonstrate:
-Career interest in the sports industry and digital media production or gameday production in particular
-Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or previous experience with InDesign is a must
-Creative/artistic sensibility in addition to technical/software ability
-Careful attention to detail, particularly in regards to spelling and proofreading
-Ability to problem solve on the fly
-Capability of taking direction, including constructive criticism, and producing content on tight deadlines
-Uninterrupted availability from late May through mid August
*This individual must provide samples of their graphic design/production work if they are given the opportunity to interview.
