The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care
1001 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Suite 425
DescriptionEach semester the Consumer Voice hosts interns to work on a variety of projects including consumer advocacy, event planning, communications, web development, fundraising and public policy. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about long-term care and advocacy while gaining experience at a national nonprofit.
This is a great chance to gain real-world experience while supporting an important cause. This is the perfect opportunity for students to get entry-level experience in a professional setting! The Consumer Voice was founded by Elma L. Holder in 1975 to protect the rights, safety and dignity of America’s long-term care residents. We advocate for public policies that support quality care and life in all long-term care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living and at-home care. The Consumer Voice empowers and educates consumers and their families by providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to advocate for themselves and their loved ones. We also advocate for a strong direct-care workforce and promote best practices in delivering quality long-term care, supports and services.
