DescriptionOpportunity to work for an international nonprofit in the Washington D.C. area with a mission to build models of multisector collaboration to realize sustainable peace and development. GPF has service projects around the world including Kenya, Malaysia, Paraguay,Nepal, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Projects address areas of environment, character education, interfaith collaboration, community-development, and other areas.
As an intern you will have the opportunity to influence others to join and support through social media outreach and funding. You will run online crowdfunding campaigns and support other marketing ventures.
Position can include flexible hours (minimal 12 hours/week) at our Lanham office and/or remote location.

ResponsibilitiesCreate funding outreach for our key service projects on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube/crowdfunding
Help gather photographs, videos, and other forms of documentation of our projects by communicating with our teams in different regions.
Organize photo/video resources (including reviewing, selecting, and editing photos for best impact)
Help strategize about ways to engage key audiences with our communications team
Proofread and lightly edit reports and promotional materials
Other duties as assigned
RequirementsUndergraduate, Graduate student, or volunteer with concentration in marketing, public relations, communications and/or social media.
Active involvement/expertise in social media campaigns a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (samples required)
Creativity and willingness to experiment
Strong project management skills, attention to detail
Video/Photo editing skills a plus
