DescriptionThe Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation (www.richifoundation.org) is a non-profit organization based in MA that raises funds for childhood cancer to support find cures and make them smile.
We help alleviate the strain that a life threatening illness puts upon children with cancer and their family members through providing a relaxing, carefree, and enjoyable environment and we support research investigations focused on finding cures for childhood cancer and to give survivors long and healthy lives.
We are seeking a part-time intern based in the Boston area to assist locally with media and communications. Familiarity with Spanish language is helpful but optional. Flexible schedule.

Responsibilities-Assist in drafting and editing our monthly newsletter, website content and other written materials.
-Contact media houses and cultivate relationships with key reporters and journalists in the Boston area.
-Online outreach and promotion using Facebook and Twitter.
-Be able to commit to a number of hours a week.
-Stay current on the childhood cancer issue.
Requirements-Strong writing, editing and speaking skills (for phone outreach).
-Knowledge of the news cycle, and traditional and online media outlets.
-Ability to follow directions and work independently.
-PR / Journalism or Marketing studies.
