Description

Launched by Mayor Menino in 2004, ONEin3 is a dynamic City of Boston Initiative focused on creating an optimal live and work environment for 20-34 year olds.

The City of Boston is home to the highest proportion of young adults out of any major city in the country. ONEin3 interns work directly with the ONEin3 manager, a variety of City of Boston Departments and BRA staff to enhance Boston for the young adult population.

Duties include:

Creating original content, updating and building ONEin3's digital platforms, including: website, Facebook and Twitter,

Supporting and participating in the management of the ONEin3 Council, which is comprised of 30 young adults who meet on a monthly basis to consider issues of relevance to Boston's young adult demographic,

Support planning and implementation of ONEin3 and BRA efforts.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student with educational background in planning, communications, or management. Work requires an understanding of online communication tools, as well as good writing, research and interpersonal skills. Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the use of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other widely used social media platforms.
