I AM not the MEdia, Inc. is a non-profit organization in Charlotte, NC. The mission of the organization is to empower adolescents to become conscious viewers of the media, critical decision makers, and to embrace their individuality and uniqueness. The organization was incorporated in May 2011 and is a 501C3 tax exempt organization.. We are very grateful that you are interested in pursuing an internship with the organization. Public Relations/Community Relations Intern

Position Description:

•Responsible for building connections and relationships within the community •Initiates and establishes partnerships with businesses and other teen serving organizations •Constantly seeks outlets to inform the community and surrounding areas about the organization and its events •Builds awareness and interest regarding the organization •Serves as spokesperson for the organization and manages the flow of information to the public •Submits press releases to print, broadcast media and on the internet •Manages and oversees the twitter and facebook accounts for the organization

Requirements

Requirements:

Pursuing a bachelors degree in human services, youth development, psychology, sociology, child care, or a similar field of study
