Job Summary:

Green Lifestyles Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is looking for a Social Media Manager to help us grow our social media presence. This is a unique opportunity to use your social media skills to make a lasting impact within our organization. The Social Media Manager will be the primary contact on all social media channels that GLN engages in. In addition, this individual will be expected to help drive and support GLN’s marketing strategy and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Execute day-to-day social media initiatives, including posting (or managing the posting of) diverse content and developing strategies to improve user engagement and drive action across all major channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, and LinkedIn)

• Create/maintain a social media calendar for short-term viral initiatives and long-term brand campaigns
• Create and monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs
• Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of social campaigns in an effort to maximize results; work with Social Media Analyst to produce monthly social media status reports
• Manage and provide direction to Social Media Analyst and Social Media Coordinators

Requirements

Education and Experience :
• Bachelor's Degree required
• At least two years of professional social media experience (personal use of social media alone isn’t sufficient for this position)
• Strong knowledge of popular social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, and LinkedIn
• Outstanding English-language communication skills, both written and verbal; must be a native speaker of English or have near-native fluency
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills; solid attention to detail
• Knowledge of HootSuite and visual content tools (Photoshop, PicMonkey, Canva) desirable
