The Intern will assist the Madison House Autism Foundation on projects and tasks to promote
various awareness initiatives, public relations activities, and other operational duties that help the organization achieve its goals. Ideally, the intern will have an interest in autism.
Madison House Autism Foundation (MHAF) works to address the needs of adults with autism by
enabling community collaborations in housing, education, financial planning, medical
understanding, and employment opportunities.
Interest in or experience with autism is preferable
Current college student or a recent graduate
Interest in non-profit management and fundraising
Excellent communication skills
Experience with SalesForce is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent oral and written skills
Excellent time management skills
Interns will have the following duties:
Maintaining internship recruitment websites
Assisting with preparation of recruitment materials for staff hires
Assisting with the Financial Audit
Distributing and collecting time sheets & expense reports
Taking notes at meetings as assigned
Completing one writing assignment by the completion of your internship
Other duties as assigned
Interns will gain experience working on projects that directly impact Madison House Autism Foundation’s mission. Additionally, interns will gain new skills through exposure to various development activities.
Internships are un-paid or through work-study. Interns will work at least 12 hours per week from August-December 2016.
This internship can not be completed remotely/electronically.
