DescriptionShema Kolainu- Hear Our Voices School and Center for Children with Autism is looking for an intern to work as a member of their blogging staff.
Internship is unpaid, but will provide feedback on work produced, work reference, and instruction. Work will also be published online, helping with your portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for a student currently looking for an easy and flexible internship to add to their resume. We’re open to working with students or recent graduates who are interested in communications, media, public relationships, education, autism, social work, brain sciences, disabilities services, etc.

ResponsibilitiesDuties include researching and writing a 300-500 word article for each work day describing and reporting current research and/or new therapies related to autism.

This internship is virtual and can be completed at anytime, though preference will be shown for interns in the NYC area. We are looking for someone who can submit 5 articles a week, but we can be flexible. Articles will be reviewed, edited, and published on our blog as well as other social media outlets.
**We are also looking for advertising sales people to increase our sponsorships. Sales people will place sponsored ads on our two quarterly magazines we publish, and eventually events like our highly attended conferences. This position is paid on a commission basis. You may either apply for this position separately, or do this in addition to the blog writing.
RequirementsShould have some experience with news or web content writing, and research. Special consideration will be given to those with knowledge of autism or nonprofits.
There are no specific educational requirements. Just let us know your goals you are working toward. You can be a college student, a post grad looking to gain experience, or possibly even a high school student if you have writing skills and enough time in your schedule.
