The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven organization representing hundreds of businesses and organizations, focused on helping members grow and succeed in Northeastern PA.

The role of the Communication and Public Relations Intern is to work with the Chamber’s Digital Brand Management team to enhance the Chamber’s marketing presence including social media campaigns, e-mail marketing, website development, information accuracy, videos, and resource research/creation/development.

Responsibilities

-Attend various extracurricular experiences the Chamber hosts to enhance the internship experience whenever possible.
-Attend marketing team meetings and contribute as much as possible.
-Work with The Chamber to create public relations opportunities such as community events, marketing campaigns, etc.

Requirements

-Must be have at least 4 semesters of coursework completed, including professional writing experience.
-Must have a working knowledge of public relations and marketing, professional writing, and group/team organizational communications.
-A writing portfolio and blog post/writing sample is required.
