DescriptionAIWA (Armenian International Women's Association) is looking for a dynamic person to bring energy, commitment and technical savvy to our online presence. AIWA is an independent, member-based international organization that supports the needs, interests and futures of Armenian women in the Diaspora and Armenia. In 2016, AIWA celebrates its 25th year, which will culminate in a one-day conference and gala dinner on October 1. This is an ideal position for a university student looking to build her/his resume by providing excellent work to a quality-focused nonprofit organization.
The Communications Director will report to and support the work of the Executive Director.
• update and maintain AIWA International’s website and online calendar
• monitor and coordinate social media
• help develop other online platforms
• help marketing and branding efforts
• help write and edit bi-monthly online newsletter
• maintain and support online member database
• support member events
RequirementsQualifications: Applicants must have strong written and oral communication skills; great technical skills, experience with website management (wordpress); online database management, and a general knowledge of marketing. The excellent applicant will be detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and able to use social media to broaden AIWA International’s reach to potential supporters and members.
Potential Salary: This is a part-time position with semi-flexible hours. The Communications Director can work remotely. We are looking for an excellent intern who will work for volunteer/school credit for up to 5-10 hours/week. This job has the potential to turn into a paid position.
