Position: Communications Intern
In addition to receiving high-level skills and experience that will forward your career goals and immediately increase your prospects for higher-paying, more rewarding jobs, you will also receive mentoring on your résumé and professional goals. Will work directly with the team supervisor. You will also have frequent input and communications with the Founder of Klick and get the inside, behind-the-scenes view of a virtual company. Successful interns will receive a top-notch letter of recommendation and referrals to important business and employment contacts. In addition, we will gladly help you arrange for academic credit.
This internship is virtual. You will work from home (or school, or Starbucks, or the library…or wherever). You can work anywhere as long as you have reliable Internet connection and a quiet area for Skype meetings.
This is an unpaid internship, but the experience is priceless!
Responsibilities-Contribute to creation of communications plans that meet our company’s objectives; manage against them.
-Work with internal teams including Marketing, Social Media, Content, Operations, Sales, etc. to plan and execute communications plans.
-Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence.
-Manage day-to-day relationship with agency partners, as well as that of their corresponding property client contacts. -Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving media outreach plans.
-Review all media materials from agency partners and/or property media/marketing contacts. Assist team in planning and executing media or VIP events.
-Plan and participate in brainstorming events to generate ideas for stories, guest promotions, partnerships, etc.
-Create media coverage reports as necessary.
Requirements-Career focus in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
-Related work experience preferred but not required.
-Strong research, writing, editing and interaction skills, perform well under pressure and be a team player.
-Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
-Demonstrated ability to delegate and accurately judge and edit the work of others.
