DescriptionEmbark Safety offers risk management solutions to companies that operate a motor vehicle fleet. Solutions aim at reducing the likelihood of preventable accidents from happening by addressing the three main risk components of running a commercial vehicle fleet; driver's records, behaviors and training. Our mission is to prevent dangerous and costly accidents from happening by not only pinpointing and tracking irregular driving patterns, but also giving our customers the resources to remedy these problems before it’s too late.
Embark Safety is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated communications specialist to support ongoing content development, corporate branding and niche industry research. Students must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism. Applicants should also have strong writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of social media.
Responsibilities Drafting and editing copy for press releases, newsletters and media materials
Writing and editing blog posts and website articles
Researching industry trends and staying up-to-date on current events
Drafting web copy, brochures and other marketing materials
Contributing toward strategic positioning and messaging documents
Requirements Entrepreneurial spirit is a MUST
Seeking candidates who can work a minimum of 10 hours a week during office hours (8AM – 5PM)
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a good listener
Ability to multi-task
Resilience to rejection (i.e. cold calling)
Previous work related experience in marketing or communications a plus
Self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
