Miller Ink is seeking highly motivated interns with interest in public policy and foreign affairs to assist with writing, proofreading, research, content development, social media, and news media outreach. The role is demanding; however, in turn, the intern will receive exposure to and experience in a wide variety of communications projects, working with prominent advocacy groups, businesses, and nonprofits.

Responsibilities

Duties will include:
· Media and social media outreach: building media lists; developing social media content and copy; assisting in the formulation of media plans
· Writing: Drafting blog posts, stories, speeches, and press releases
· Research: Conducting background research for client projects, speeches, and op­‐eds

Requirements

An ideal candidate will have:
· Top­‐notch writing and editorial skills (interest and previous experience in politics/journalism preferred)
· Excellent organizational and research abilities, good people skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of applications
· Interest in social media and an ability to use social media networks and analytics platforms
· Familiarity with and interest in foreign affairs, Israel, and the Jewish community is a plus
