DescriptionThis is for an internship for 2017. Do you want to be part of a new and growing nation-wide health initiative? Develop innovative social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Blogs that influence thousands of people. Skinny Gene Project is unlike your typical 501c (3) non-profit. We are the first in San Diego County to be awarded Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) FULL Recognition as a provider of the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP). We are partnered with the CDC to deliver the program and continually collaborate with other local and state organizations to increase our reach.

Responsibilities-Provide links to 1-3 social networking profiles to generate interest and knowledge
-Increase organization's social media presence
-Utilizes social media to engage with a community of fans/followers online
-Coordinates online marketing and advertising campaigns
-Collaborates with internal departments on projects and assignments
-Demonstrates interest in social media and how media and communication strategies can continuously engage the online community
-Identify other possible avenues to reach the market
Requirements-Undergraduate junior, senior, recent graduates, masters in marketing, communications, digital or related fields
-Minimum of 3 month & minimum 15 hours/week commitment with a possibility of extension.
-Academic credit for the internship is at the discretion of your college, or university.
-The internship can provide outstanding background for students from a number of different fields of study. Skinny Gene will consider applicants without a social media/communications background and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
-Have excellent written and oral communications skills
-Creativity, flexibility, & adaptability
-Be able to work independently, with initial guidance
