Description

Lair East is seeking community management interns to join our team to support our members and make sure our members have the best experience working at Lair East. The position is based in New York and will report directly to community director. This position offers great insights to the great entrepreneurs, startups, and VC investors. The ideal candidate will be motivated self-starter with strong communicational skill and be able to multi-task.

Lair East is a New York-based startup community that offers a co-working space, connection to top tier angel/VC investors, and global entrepreneurial network to its members. It is a habitat that helps entrepreneurs, start-ups, and young professionals achieve their goals and make real impacts on the world around them. Our community-oriented facilities provide the most convenient, cozy and tech-savvy environment for working in.

We believe that positive impact can be fostered through collaboration and proper resources. Lair East was established by Palm Drive Ventures and Huayuan International and supported by NYCCEO, one of the largest and most influential cross-boarder entrepreneurship organizations in NYC with 2,000+ active members. The platform brought by Lair East provides access to proven leaders with expertise in technology, media, entertainment, fashion, art history, architecture, etc. and cross-sector experiences.

Responsibilities

Create a collaborative community environment amongst our members through events and building relationships between members
Responsible for building member service systems & facilities operations
Work with marketing team to maximize occupancy utilizing creative marketing and social media
Support organizing and curating various events, seminars, happy hours, pitch nights, brainstorming sessions, and talks that enhance the membership experience
Assist members with billing and manage reservations
Prepare the monthly progress report of community
Assist incubation, arts & culture, social enterprise, non-profit and other special initiatives
Support NYCCEO, a leading entrepreneurship organization with 2000 members to build up the cross-border startup ecosystem in New York

Requirements

Hospitable

Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Must have strong communication skills – written and verbal
Efficient and excellent organization skills
Take initiative and enjoy the challenges
Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial community
Speaking Mandarin Chinese is a plus
Must commit at least 15-20 hours each week

Skills

Required - Microsoft Office
Preferred - Chinese, Marketing, Event Coordination
