DescriptionThe APHL communications intern provides general support to the Strategic Communications program, including assistance with publications production, project research and database management. The communications intern will report to the communications senior specialist.

Responsibilities1.Assist with production of quarterly magazine, including photo research and editing, link research, drafting social media posts, adding links to the digital edition, collecting addresses for thank you letters and coordination of thank-you mailing.
2.Support creation and distribution of weekly e-newsletter as requested.
3.Support production of other publications to include proofreading, and work with InDesign.
4.Maintain APHL Communications Manual and other reference materials.
5.Maintain publications production tracking, media placement and other SharePoint sites.
6.Maintain publications inventory and coordinate shipping to and from storage site.
7.Assist with research for communications projects and other administrative work as needed.
8.Provide support for website posting and digital magazine building as needed.
9.Additional duties as requested.
1.Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree preferably in a related area such as communications, public health or community health.
2.One to three years of work experience required.
