Description

The AKOBEN Foundation, Inc. is a Baltimore City based 501(c)(3) non profit that focuses on early childhood literacy and communication development. AKOBEN is currently in need of a media and communications intern to manage our web-based media platforms. This position requires approximately 3-5 hours per week and can be performed remotely; with the exception of bi-weekly, in-person meetings with the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

Contribute to website redesign project in various ways
Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more
Optimize utilization of website and social media
Update website content as instructed

Requirements

Students applying for this position should have in depth knowledge about how to utilize digital platforms in order to boost brand awareness. Communication/Marketing/Business majors are preferred.
