Description

What is The Wish Dish?

Join The Wish Dish! TheWishDish.com is the Ted Talks for personal stories. Imagine if Twitter and Thought Catalog had a baby. We provide people a platform for people to connect with others through authentic self-expression.

As an editor, you will help our contributors shape and word their story so that it can have the greatest impact possible. But publishing stories is only the beginning of our process. We then work directly with our contributors and connect them to people who have similar stories.

We are an Athens, GA based startup, but this internship is entirely online and can be performed from anywhere.

What will you do?

-Communicate and work online with our editing team
-Edit 3-5 pieces per week in the following areas: culture/travel, health/wellness, sports, inspirational people, overcoming challenges, and faith
-Get to read inspirational and movies stories by all different types of authors
-Share a story or two (or three or a billion) if you want! (not required)

What are we looking for?

-Enrolled in 4 year bachelor’s program
-Current or intended communications/english/journalism majors (or related fields)
-A strong voice/perspective and a desire to help other people share their own
-Able to commit at least 3 months
-Experience with Wordpress is a plus (but not required)

What do we offer?

-Entirely online and can be performed anywhere/anytime
-Flexible hours
-Will get to work with a dedicated team of writers/entrepreneurs who want to help you succeed

To apply:

Please submit resume and a writing sample of any kind you have ever done (for school, a blog, a Facebook post you’re particularly proud of etc.)
