DescriptionLocated in New York’s Hudson Valley, Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a 110-acre haven for horses and farm animals rescued from cruelty and neglect. In addition to emergency rescue, CAS offers innovative programs that educate the public about the sentience of farm animals, and the devastating impacts of agribusiness and institutionalized cruelty on animals, people, and the planet.
CAS offers tours to meet the animals, workshops, retreats, speaking engagements, a children's camp, a vegan culinary program and special events. Since 2001, CAS has rescued over 3,500 animals, and works in tandem with law enforcement to bring animal abusers to justice.
If you love animals and want to make the world a more compassionate place for all living beings, consider applying for an internship at CAS!
We’re looking for passionate and talented people to intern in the areas of animal care, outreach, fundraising, communications, educational programs, hospitality, food blog editing, and the business office. Internships at CAS offer the unique opportunity of working at one of the country’s leading farm animal sanctuaries, and provide valuable experience for those pursuing careers in the animal protection arena.
Internships are unpaid positions and students may receive credit with their academic institutions. Candidates should be opposed to animal cruelty in all forms and support the overall mission of CAS. Vegans and vegetarians are strongly encouraged to apply. Shared housing is available for those who are accepted for a full-time internship.
To apply for any CAS internship, please send a resume, cover letter, and two references to Michelle Alvarez, Outreach Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org
