Description

The Dr. Divas Show brings compelling discussion to live audiences of students, faculty and
staff in an exciting talk show format. he Dr. Divas, all with experience in higher education
and leadership, challenge students with compelling, relevant topics, including:

Surviving Deadly Encounters, Entrepreneurship & Career Development, Social Justice,
Perceptions of Women/Men in the Media, Personal Empo erment, and Love & Relationships.

Responsibilities

The Dr. Divas show seeks a Communications Intern who is excited to apply his or her academic knowledge to real-world writing, advertising relations, research and development (show topics), and marketing scenarios. Duties may include writing and developing promotional material by engaging in the following activities: press release writing, developing and maintaining a blog, updating website copy, coordinating show topics, preparing media kits, assisting with special events and promotions, assisting with social media outreach efforts, collecting research, and assisting with securing advertisers for The Doctor Divas Show.

The position is considered an unpaid internship and requires 10-15 hours a week (depending on role assigned). This position is educational in nature, and the intern will be provided with all tools and training necessary to complete job requirements. While the majority of the position duties will be completed virtually.

Requirements

This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, proofreading skills, social media literacy, the ability to work on strict deadlines and to effectively multi-task. Candidates pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing or another related field strongly preferred.
