We are looking for an IT Intern to engage in a wide variety of IT-related activities that support daily operations as well as specific projects. The intern will work closely with the rest of the IT Team to maintain the technical health of the organization. Responsibilities may also include those related to facility physical security. This position is a 25 hour-per-week, hourly position. Occasional work on nights and weekends may be necessary. The position is year-round - NOT only for the summer.

Required Qualifications:
o A quick learner who keeps his/her technical skills up to date
o Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
o Ability to troubleshoot a broad variety of devices
o Initiative and ability to proactively see projects to full completion
o Capacity to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously without compromising quality of work
o Ability to follow detailed instructions and clearly document processes and systems
o Skilled at efficient and conclusive internet research
o Proficiency in English; excellent written and oral communication skills
o Careful attention to detail
o Energy and drive to excel
o Ability to lift up to 20-25 pounds
o Effective time management, task tracking, and reporting
o Focus on doing things right the first time

Preferred Qualifications:
o Hands-on desktop support experience, including anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions
o Software experience including:
o Windows 7 installation and configuration
o MS Office 2010/2013
o Miscellaneous software installation and configuration
o Product update and patch management/installation
o Windows Server 2003/2008 installation and configuration
o VPNs
o Remote system administration
o Management of various software products and networking devices
o IT industry best practices
o Mobiles phones and devices
o Ability to coordinate as necessary with outside technical support providers
o Experience with and/or aptitude for:
o Miscellaneous hardware installation and configuration
o Resolving networking issues
o Evaluating software and hardware tools
o Supporting remotely-based employees
o Maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting a wide variety of copiers, printers, and fax machines

o 1-2 years of college courses preferred
o Industry certifications a plus:
o CompTIA A+
o Server+
o Security+
o Other relevant certifications
