Description

We are a San Diego technology startup focused on delivering IBM mainframe software and appliance solutions to clients worldwide. Our founders strongly believe that improvements upon already existing solutions and the commitment to supporting emerging stakeholders in the IBM mainframe world will prove to be an incredibly lucrative endeavor worthy of establishing a new corporate entity. As so, we are currently offering two Financial Business internships to work from our Scripps Ranch offices to help drive the launch and success of this new opportunity.

Responsibilities

Financial Business Analyst Job Duties – As a Financial Business Intern your typical job duties will include creating financial reports, such as income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets, and determining how the company’s finances will impact business operations. You will also facilitate decision making by finance and operations personnel or investors by presenting data analysis and interpretation in clear, compelling ways.
You will be asked to make recommendations for action by synthesizing financial information and trends. You will predict future business activity to assist product developers or sales teams. Some financial business analysts create tools or systems, including databases and spreadsheets, to improve financial data analysis and reporting. Other responsibilities can include keeping financial data secure, and documenting activity and procedures for future reference. Using existing resources you will help others understand how new laws, regulations and developments will impact businesses in finance and business sector. –

Senior financial accountants and existing resources exist to support you in these endeavors.

Requirements

This position will require reporting to your peers and management team in an easy-to-understand way on a weekly or bi weekly basis. Having previous experience in business, finance or involvement with a professional organization or association is a plus. A business, law or finance major is preferred. Most important is attitude, drive and a commitment to succeed in fast paced self-driven business environment. Organization and a positive attitude are the most important attribute.
