DescriptionReporting to the CEO, the CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial and risk-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, revenue cycle, purchasing, forecasting, risk management, strategic planning, contract analysis and negotiations, and private and institutional financing.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish and implement corporate financial, risk and accounting policies, procedures, and structures within the boundaries established by the CEO and Advisory Board.
Provide administrative and technical direction to all financial and risk operations (company and project) to ensure corporate financial data is as accurate as possible.
Establish and direct all short-term and long-range financial and risk plans consistent with corporate philosophy.
Direct the processing and dissemination of financial data required by executive team to establish and maintain operating budgets and related controls procedures.
Ensure a positive financial posture is maintained for the corporation. Provide corporate leadership to other executives and manages to ensure financial success within their operational scope.
Serve as a member of at least one (1) local community and/or civic organization.
Other duties as assigned by the CEO and Advisory Board.
RequirementsRequired - 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field of study
Preferred - 10 years experience in Construction Industry finance with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
Preferred - Masters degree and/or CPA
Knowledgeable in Construction Industry finance, including revenue cycle, risk management, purchasing and compliance
Advanced computer skills including Excel, Sage/Timberline or similar product, and other Microsoft Office products, accounting systems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills, ability to initiate change, create a team environment
Results oriented self-starter
Effective interpersonal skills enabling ability to work successfully with all levels of the organization
Strong financial analysis and presentation skills, coupled with ability to manage varying needs and demands of the organization in a way that leads to overall financial improvement
