Description

Department: Digital Media

Position Summary: The Franklin Institute’s Digital Department is looking for an intern with a passion for digital technology that can assist with website initiatives including managing digital web monthly calendar, editing or writing copy for digital efforts, tracking and analyzing competitors’ digital campaigns, and creating interactive pdfs. The intern will have the opportunity to learn essential digital tools and concepts used frequently by business professionals such as a Content Management System (CMS), Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, Google Adwords, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, User Experience (UX), CTR tracking, and Responsive Web Design. The intern will build a portfolio in website management and analysis, creation of digital media, and digital analytical skills.

Education Requirements: 1-2 years of college education, Marketing, PR, Communications, Journalism, Web Development, Digital Media, Computer Science, or any digital-related field majors in college are encouraged to apply.

Special Skills Required:
• Strong writing, organizational and communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• HTML, CSS (preferred, but not required)
• Photoshop experience (preferred, but not required)

Schedule Requirements: Minimum of 3 days a week (Monday-Friday), 9:00am – 5:00 pm.

Position Reports To: Senior Producer, Digital Media

This Position is Unpaid
