Description

Programming/Coding Internship for Online Clothing Company

We are an online retailer based in Aurora and specializing in alternative fashion design and historical clothing. We have been in business for over ten years and sell our designs all over the world. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with a background in tech and programming who are interested in eCommerce and entrepreneurship and able to work in Chicago’s western suburbs 1-2 days a week.

As we are a small company, we all wear a variety of hats and candidates can be sure that they will get a wide variety of experience in all aspects of eCommerce and web marketing - including multiple shopping cart platforms, online marketing including implementation of social media plug-ins and other functionality and email newsletter applications.

Candidates will need a background in programming and familiarity with PHP/Python/Perl/Javascript and comfort with the DOM and string processing to modify our HTML . Other general requirements; knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript. Knowledge of Wordpress template design and the eCommerce platform from Network Solutions are a plus. Candidates need to be detail oriented and interested in learning web-based retailing and social media marketing and implementation with a successful and established online retailer. We also encourage dog-lovers as we have a couple of ‘office’ dogs in residence. Duration of internship is flexible.
