DescriptionThis is an online mentorship program. Up to 6 candidates will be selected to work with Dr. L. Schaefer to learn Ruby on Rails while contributing to a live codebase - not just a toy app. The first set of candidates will start in June and will continue in the program through the summer. Candidates are expected to spend at least 10 hours per week (equivalent to one college course) on mentorship program tasks.
Depending upon interest, we will take another set of candidates in July or August, and will likely hold a fall mentorship program also. More details can be found at https://github.com/crowdpublishtv/crowdpublishtv
CrowdPublish.TV is a platform for authors & screenwriters who own the rights to their work to publicize & crowdfund their projects. Aiming to empower storytellers, experts, & software developers.
ResponsibilitiesInterns will communicate with Dr. Schaefer and each other to decide weekly tasks. Tasks will aim toward developing a complete test suite for the CrowdPublish.TV code base.
RequirementsThe CrowdPublish.TV Ruby Mentoring Program is meant for people who have already gone through beginner Ruby learning materials, such as the Michael Hartl RailsTutorial.
