Description

Savvo is an integrated shopper marketing startup focused on promoting wine brands with a digital and physical presence in the retail environment. We have created “smarter endcaps” that combine wine racks with interactive touchscreen displays to engage shoppers at the point of purchase.

We are looking for software developer interns who want to grow their experience by working on software that is live in the marketplace. We have plenty of opportunities and projects for both front end and backend developers depending on the skills and goals of the intern.

We are a minimally funded company, so we can’t pay cash for role, but we do offer plenty of opportunities to gain valuable experience working on meaningful projects. We work out of the hottest entrepreneurial hub in the city – “1871” at the Merchandise Mart, but this position is available to remote candidates. This internship can be done for credit or not, depending on your goals and university rules.

Responsibilities

Projects may include:
• Implementing new user interface design and features
• Code solutions for making calls to SQL database
• Optimize backend for scalability

Requirements

Ideal candidates have a solid base level of experience in at least a few of the programming languages we use and are looking for real world experience to grow their experience. Communication is very important, especially for interns working remotely.

Skills

Preferred - ASP.NET, DB2/SQL, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, jQuery, Microsoft Visual Studio
