Made Known Pictures is a start-up company creating online video content for businesses and non-profits.

Made Known Pictures was founded by Scott Blanding and Brad LaBriola with the mission to produce hidden stories that should be made known to a wider audience. They have made documentaries and promotional films for non-profits, NGOs, and businesses. Made Known's filmmaking has helped organizations gain recognition and supportive donors.

This internship is an opportunity for a someone who is motivated to eventually become a full-time, paid member of the team.

Interns are expected to work 10-15 hours a week for 3 months.


-Upgrade our existing web site to a contemporary, mobile-friendly, responsive design
-Modify Concrete5 or WordPress theme and plugins to create a custom user experience
-Use clean HTML5, efficient CSS and custom graphics
-Work with Design Team to integrate non-descript elements and other assets required for custom CSS and related branding efforts
-Collaborate with Made Known leadership team on design specifications
-Monitors web content as to keep developments accurate and updated
-Recommends new techniques and tactics for achieving goals with maximum efficiency
-Tracking Google Analytics


-Proficiency in XHTML, RSS, PHP, CSS, JavaScript
-Proficiency in theme development including Concrete5, Wordpress, coding standards
-Solid experience in customizing Concrete5 and Wordpress plugins
-Ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
-Ability to work well in a team environment
-Ability to interact with partners courteously, skillfully, and accurately
-Ability to think and work in creative ways
-Knowledge of responsive design concepts and cross-browser compatibility
-Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and Photoshop desirable


Required - WordPress, CSS, JavaScript, XHTML, RSS, HTML, PHP
Preferred - Adobe Photoshop
