i-Mazing Solutions, Inc., with 65 years of combined technology consulting experience, is a small business located in Virginia Beach, VA. Founded in 2002, i-Mazing Solutions has provided financial and technology consulting services to federal, state, local, and private organizations, assisting with various data driven requirements, including forecasting, budgeting, and activity execution tracking by utilizing a wide variety of technology.

i-Mazing Solutions utilizes Microsoft and Oracle products to design and implement intelligent business data solutions and incorporates industry standards and best practices to securely store and control sensitive data. By modernizing end-of-life legacy applications, i-Mazing Solutions leverages current technologies.

i-Mazing Solutions uses databases and programming logic developed and maintained by the organization to create automated and/or ad-hoc reports that provide analysis of financial plans, budgets, manpower, current financial state, statistical data, and overall program performance.

We're providing a paid internship to develop web developer talent that can take on ambitious projects with minimal guidance and oversight within a team-based environment. The intern will learn and develop multiple facets of web application and database development, including coding, refactoring, source-control, requirement communication, and time-management.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will be tailored to fit the individual skills/interests of the intern. There are several technology prototype projects that are available; discussion about those details will be provided during the interview: an example project would be to build a Google Maps/GPS integration for an existing web application based on an existing location data-set.

We are primarily focused on developing the general coding, team responsibilities, and business development skill-sets of our people to produce the best future employees possible.

Requirements

Applicants will be expected to have familiarity with web-based languages such as Javascript/jQuery/AngularJS and server-side languages such as C#, VB.net and Java; expertise is not required.

Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 GPA, although a GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred, and have completed at least 3 computer science courses at the 300/Junior level or higher.

Skills

Required - C# 4.0, Microsoft Visual Studio, CSS Javascript
Preferred - AngularJS, Team Foundation Server, jQuery, SQL Server 2000-2008, ASP.NET MVC
