Always be on the alert for potentially fraudulent job postings online - never send money to a potential employer.
DescriptionSeniorroommatch.com is a company that enables senior citizens (55+) to create a profile and search for potential roommates, hopefully finding a great match. The company is registered, the website is hosted, and a Wordpress template has been selected. The intern will need develop the site and meet with me weekly to go over the progress of the site, as the site itself is the company's product. Design is not the highest of importance, as I do have an eye for design and have a particular vision for the site, page by page. The site itself will visually, actually, look quite simple. I need someone who can get into the nitty gritty and ensure that the website is functional and responsive. Content and functionality are much more important to me than creating an extremely "trendy" website. Remember, our audience are senior citizens.
I am looking for someone who can create the site successfully by the end of the spring semester.
ResponsibilitiesYou are responsible for thoroughly creating a functional and responsive website according to instruction. Should the site be satisfactorily completed by the end of the spring semester, you will receive a 5% share of the company's profit for two years following the completion date of the site (per a signed contract). I will also serve as an exceptional reference for any and all inquisitions for the right candidate.
RequirementsMust be a web development expert! The site must allow users the ability to create a profile, and search for roommates using filters, such as "within (x) miles of (zip)", along with many others. It also must allow an upgrade, which users can effectively purchase with a credit card (not Paypal). Must allow for user to user messaging. When searches are conducted, thumbnail profiles of members who meet the requirements of the user must appear.
If you are a good fit and do not believe that the chosen Wordpress template is the most effective, we can talk about changing that.
