DescriptionCyber Delivered, a member of UMBC's BwTech Cyber Incubator, is looking for a highly motivated web tier developer to work part time on our patent-pending Cyber Crucible product. Cyber Crucible is a cloud-based software as a service which automatically provides astonishingly detailed analytic results to victims of cyber intrusions. We are senior cybersecurity intrusion discovery, analytic capability developers, and intrusion analysis experts, who are automating the custom tradecraft we use in client services.
ResponsibilitiesI think we covered most of this under Requirements. From an "employee requirements" standpoint, our company culture is one of enabling early hires to function as full-fledged employees of the startup. This means you will have negotiated deadlines, project management reviews every other week, and tasks which are tracked in Jira (just like we use to track ourselves).
As a young hire, this can be a double-edged sword. You have a lot of freedom to self-manage, and are given real responsibility just as a junior hire. You have the ability to work on your own schedule, as long as you are completing tasks, and will learn a great deal about computer science, cloud programming, and cybersecurity. We also allow you to complete academic projects one week, then make up time the next week. The other side of that equation, however, is that we need you to be part of the team, or we will be forced to ask you to leave. We are depending on you to bring your best to the table!
We also have a strong summer internship program, with a limited number of combinations of paid and unpaid full time and part time positions. Preference is always given to great people that we already know!
RequirementsWe have an existing customer interface using AngularJS and Spring Boot, and you will be expected to respond to software requirements to improve the user experience, user and billing management, and the number of quality of analytic results presented to the user. Applicants should have web development skills which demonstrate use of AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and common graphical display frameworks (you will be asked to discuss during the interview). Experience with NoSQL and cloud based technologies are a major plus, but can be learned during the job. Knowledge of Spring is also a positive, but not required (there is a separate Spring/Java-focused middleware role in our company). We definitely expect someone motivated to figure out technology issues, just like we do every day!
Preferred - Spring, Groovy, Grails, Gradle, Malware Analysis, Protocol Analysis
